Today, as he marks another year of life, we take a moment to honour not just his

Beyond Borders
Born and nurtured in the
culturally rich soil of Osun State, Nigeria, Olamide is far more than an
artist. He is a storyteller, a healer, and a messenger, using the silent
language of paint and canvas to speak boldly to the world.
His works draw from African
themes, symbols, and philosophies, creating deep emotional responses that have
travelled beyond Africa’s shores. He has exhibited with artists from
Bangladesh, India, USA, Turkey, Nepal, and more. From the Ibadan Art Fair to
international stages in Canada and the USA, his art continues to gain
recognition and honour.
In the thick of the
COVID-19 pandemic, while many paused, Stephen advanced. Through the ARTHITY
Exhibition and other global collaborations, he used his gift to bring healing
and hope. His works spoke into the pain of the times, and his efforts were
recognised by the United Nations (MDGs) Art Poster Competition, where his entry
stood among international giants.
But to him, it’s never
about just the fame. It's about the purpose.
“My works are not created
just to decorate walls, but to speak, to comfort, to heal,” he once shared.
Behind the international
acclaim stands a man grounded in values. Olamide is a devoted husband, a loving
father of two, and a man who loves God deeply. His family is his fortress, and
his faith is his fuel. He carries his artistic calling with humility and
reverence, often testifying that his inspiration comes from divine guidance.
